         CPTs green packaging design had always been grounded on the green vision of reduction, recycling, reuse, and renewal. Not only are customers provided with product safety protection, it also achieves environmental and carbon reduction objectives. As well, reducing product packaging materials makes packages lighter and more portable, which also indirectly reduces storage and transportation costs for CPT, thus enabling more profits.

Voluntary Packaging Reduction Signed with the Executive Yuans Environmental Protection Agency
 

Since late 2009, CPT and four other display and laptop companies had signed a packaging reduction agreement with the Executive Yuan. Due to the high reduction performance results, CPT continued signed a packaging reduction agreement with the Environmental Protection Agency.

In 2010, we participated in the green packaging design contest Carton-less module packaging, and was honored with the Outstanding Award for Industrial Packaging out of the numerous innovative designs (Out of the 101 designs, CPT, AUO, and BenQ were the three Outstanding Award Recipients for the Industrial Packaging Group). Moreover, the Environmental Bureau invited the media to vote onsite for the additional Media Preference Award, and CPT was the only one from Industrial Packaging Group to receive this award.

In December 2011, CPT signed its third packaging reduction agreement with the Environmental Protection Administration. This agreement proposed two medium to small green packages: the universal TFT transportation box (3.7 inches) and paper-free Dense Pack Box (3.2 inches). The green packaging design allows for 50% weight reduction in packaging paper materials, 40% increase in board transportation efficiency, and 55% carbon reduction. The universal design reduces packaging module costs, while the overall packaging material cost is reduced by 60%. CO2 emissions are reduced by 60 tons and 13 tons, respectively.

In December 2011, CPT signed its third packaging reduction agreement with the Environmental Protection Administration.
       

On February 7, 2013, CPT signed the packaging reduction agreement for the fourth time with the Environmental Protection Agency. This agreement proposed two strategies, including the "Universal TFT Transportation Box" and "Packaging Free Plant Factory". The Universal TFT Transportation Box: Up to 60% of the packaging weight per unit is reduced. The packaging cost per unit reaches up to 90% CD benefits. The transportation cost reaches up to 70% CD benefits. In comparison with the traditional transportation of vegetables and fruits, plants can grow in the packaging free plant factory, and therefore packaging cost and transportation expenses are reduced by 100%.

In February 7 2013, CPT signed its fourth packaging reduction agreement with the Environmental Protection Administration.

CPT has participated in voluntary packaging reduction activities organized by EPA for five consecutive years. 2014 was no exception and the company signed a Packaging Reduction Agreement with EPA for the fifth time in March 2014. To commend the participants, EPA organized a 10-day public display of the promotion results in the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park in Taipei (1F of former Northern Tobacco Factory) from December 20 to 29, 2013 to exhibit successful cases of packaging reduction as well as schedule interactive lectures and exchanges with the public.
The Packaging Reduction Agreement was signed for the green packaging of CPT Smartphone panels Eco-friendly features include:
    Packaging material reduction by 24%
    After the improvements, the same amount of packaging was used for 310 pieces instead of 250 pieces
    Packaging supplies made of recycled paper are utilized in accordance with EPA mark criteria
    Use of eco-friendly ink
    Recycled materials make up 85-90% of the packaging
    Packaging print surface reduction by 19%
    Increased container usage rate, reduced number of contain?ers, and decreased energy waste
    Reduced number of cardboard boxes

 Reduction from the Source-The Trend of Zero Waste Conference organized by EPA

CPT participated in the Reduction from the Source- , TheTrend of Zero Waste Conference organized by EPA on November7th 2014 (Fri.). The objective of EPA is to help the businessesimprove their corporate image in environmental protection ,through experience sharing. CPT was invited to give a projectreport on green packaging, because CPT has been participatingin EPAs voluntary packaging reduction and green packagingprojects in recent years.
